808s & Heartbrakes

I had pre-ordered this CD on iTunes and basically had no expectation for it. My appreciation for Kanye have grown over the years, something about him that does that to me. He is not like the rest of the rappers out there, he is not afraid to take risks. With this new CD, 808s & Heartbreak, Kanye opt to sing, instead of fully rap on his songs. Many criticized him for his choice saying that he was betraying himself, and was making a mistake by moving from what he started with.
The CD is calmer and a bit toned down from his last album, it has some very personal songs and some more upbeat songs, with a personal message. Here is a song list. I am loving all the songs, they all have their own special feel.

No matter where Kanye came from, no matter where he plans to go, Kanye has the talent and the drive to keep going, no matter in what direction he might want to go, rapping, singing, no matter what. I was talking to a friend who thinks Kanye is very arrogant, and I said he has the right to be arrogant, because he backs it up with great songs and albums. This is the last photo in the booklet:

So I got the new iPhone firmware release about 15 minutes ago, and here are the biggest change I've found.

New look for Safari:

Notice the new toolbar for Google, right next to the address toolbar. When you select the Google toolbar, it stretches over the address toolbar.

Google Maps with Street View:

Search for something, or drop a pin on your location:

Touch the little orange circle to turn it to street view:

Do you want to share you location? While on map, click on the pin to view more information, then click on Share Location, and you can send an email with your location to a friend.

You are also able to get driving, public transportation and walking directions.

And for those, who hates the fact that your phone spell checks things for you, and sometimes it can actually completely spell something different from what you want it to write to begin with, you can now actually turn auto spelling off. No more "ducking" instead of f'ing. =]

Everytime I listen to Confessions on a Dance Floor, I feel so good.
I walked a little around Central Park South today, and it feels so good to feel the fall weather in New York. Nothing is more glamourous then fall weather, don't you agree? The colors of the clothing, the layering, the cozy looks, I LOVE IT! The colors of the leaves are all changing and all is just so beautiful. The holidays are around the corner and that also brings such a good energy to the season.

I WAS IN BRAZIL LAST WEEK!
two words: HOT GUYS!
taking care of military papers (!!!) and visiting relatives that I haven't seen in 8 years. The military says all is fine and they are going to leave me the hell alone.
It felt amazing to be back home, and it feels a little weird to be back here, but I think it's because I "realized" that all my family is there and it sucks that I have to leave them behind.
another thing that sucks is that I can go to a restaurant there and get a cocktail, and here I have to wait until NEXT year! speaking of that... OMFG ... I can't believe I will be 21 next year! It's insane. Mary (yes, YOU, you evil lady), do you remember your 21's when you were painting caves and wearing a bone to hold your hair together?! I am sure you do.
anyways...
school is so blah, I just want to be done get a job and do what I need to do.
I need to get my ass to Brazil soon.

Hello everyone,
The last weeks have been filled with a new job traning session, and then the rest of the time it has been me cathing up on sleep.
I miss school, and I need to write more, I've been making more mistakes then usual and THAT'S NOT A GOOD SIGN.

I was thinking about all the time I talk to my brother and some friends about my "obsessions" and how much I love stuff, and I wondered if anybody else had any of their own. My obsessions range from websites, to foods, to music and so on... You see the thing is, once I like something I really really like it, and I constantly talk about how amazing it is, and how people should really try it. Lately I have been telling everyone and their mother (including my mother) to get a Twitter account (my mom gave in and got one)... it seems like Twitter is my main obsession lately. A few weeks ago Edamame was my food of choice, NO LIE, I would have Edamame for breakfast, lunch and dinner... I can't even begin to talk about bubble tea (but that's only on Fri,Sat and Sunday) weird, I know. Now, when someone, anyone, brings up Mac computers into a conversation, or ANYTHING Apple... I completely lose my mind and start talking about how Apple has changed my life, and that I would buy anything Steve Jobs come out with. It could be the iPod, the iPhone, the iMac, even if they come out with the iShit, I would still buy it. I don't know... having a Mac makes me feel part of the cool crowd, and as stupid as that might sound, it is nothing but the truth. About a week or so my mom even said that "MacBook is your drug!!!" and she is absolutely right, this computer is my baby.

Hello,
Me and my brother went to see WALL-E last night, and I am in love with this movie. I think I like it so much because of all the "close to home" things that are part of the movie... I don't want to give much away, but basically in this movie Earth has been used and abused by us, and all that there is left is garbage. While the robots called WALL-E clean up the mess, Buy n Large (they basically own everything) sends the human in a 5 year cruise through space that has been going on for 700 years. While watching the movie, I realized that children now will have to grow up worrying about global warming, food supplies and space for living. This movies might go over board at parts while showing humans in the future, but how can we know that the idea is not that far fetched at all. I can't really go into details about the movie here, because I don't want to give anything away, but you can go to this movie knowing that you will laugh, cry (I almost did) and perhaps learn a little about where we could be heading.... PIXAR has delivered a great movie again, that is pleasing to watch for it's fantastic graphics, but also pleasing due to the message that it has. I will definitely watch this movie at the theater again, and maybe this time I will see it on IMAX.

Hello lovies,
I hope everyone is enjoying themselves this weekend and partying it up !
I will be home alone, and I am very excited to just be comfortable and enjoy myself this weekend. Many people feel they need to have company, I, in the other hand love being alone at home.
So what do I do when I have the house to myself ?! Do I throw a party? Do I get drunk? Do I have friends over?! NO.... I blog. :D

There are so many little things that I am in love with and I decided to make a list and share them with you...
I decided it would be best to split the list in two, so it's not taking up the whole page, and not taking you three hours in one sitting to read through it all. Here is part one. Enjoy

Let's start with my daily obsessions:

Obsession Du Jour !

1. Macbook
This is probably the best thing that happened to me ever since I first touched a computer. I am literally in love with this machine, and the company. Everything they have I want. Like EVERYTHING!!!! Steve Jobs are you listening ?!?!?

2. Ipod Touch
The closest I can get to a Iphone( which I will be getting when it comes out on July 11th!!!). I have all my contacts neatly arranged on it, my calendar, and YES... I HAVE EVERY ALBUM COVER. I get them all, and if it's a random mix... I find a picture that has the same mood as the mix and I use that. I know... I also use this to update my status on my favorite sites, which I will tell you about later.

3. Cell Phone
Hmm... text messaging?! need I say more? I used to have a Helio Ocean, until last week when I switched to AT&T, now I have their free phone ( a Nokia) until the eleventh, when the Iphone 3G comes out.

Nowadays, we all connect to the internet, some come to chat, some come to play, some come to shop, I come to do everything. I basically live on it...

INTERNET OBSESSIONS

1. Twitter.com

There's no explanation on why I am so obsessed with this website, I don't even know why. I get up and twit, I have breakfast I twit, I go outside I twit, I see something I twit... TWIT TWIT TWIT ! I am always updating it and the updates are posted here on the blog ( the bubble to the right of the screen), my Facebook account, my Myspace page and my personal website. I am always texting and letting people know what I am up to, and I also follow a few people and I always get text messages when they twit. It is AMAZING. Everyone should get one.

2. Blogger.com

I have been a blogger user for quite some time and I am always trying out new sites to see if there are better blogging platforms out there and to be quite honest, there isn't. Blogger is simply, and I find it easy to customize it... I have tried Wordpress and I was loving it, but when I found out I couldn't email posts from my phone to the blog, I said NO THANK YOU !!! Then I tried Typepad, and I was turned off by the fact I had to pay $14 /month... I mean, I get it if blogging is your job, but not for me. I even tried blogging using iWeb on my mac, and when I found out I couldn't blog from any other computers, including different mac's I said... hmmm NO.

3.Ping.fm

Hmmm, I can update anything (Twitter,Facebook,Myspace,Blogger...) from one simple website. Ping.fm is still beta so you need to get a code for it..... have fun searching it !!! I DID !

4.Last.fm

With this website I am able to see what others listen to, find new artists and keep a list of things that I've listened to, and to me that is also AMAZING ! Last.fm even sees what songs I played on my Ipod while I went out, and when I connect it to the computer, it updates the list on my Last.fm profile.

Last but most definitely not least...

5. YouTube.com

You all know why YouTube is amazing. So I don't have to explain. Just check out PhillyD, Michael Buckley, Hot for Words, iJustine, LisaNova,JonLajoie... those are a few channels I subscribe to. I love them.

So those are a few things I love. For part two, expect to see styles I like at the moment, things I want to buy, favorite men's fashion shows that just happened in Europe, latest music obsession... and other things I am obsessing over.

First I want to say that you should do yourself a favor and get your hands on the Madonna CD " Hard Candy", it is simply deliciously tasty and a bit addictive. It will be even better when you listen to it while sipping on a Grande Iced Soy Chai from Starbucks, which is of course another addiction on it's entirety.
I have been meaning to update the blog in a while but I guess I needed to get my thoughts straight, and focused. I have been trying to figure things out and trying to make sense of things. At home things are all well at one point, then suddenly it's the opposite, but I always believe that this things are thrown at us to test us of how much do we really care about something, and to show us how important certain people are in our lives. I am drowning with school work and this is not anything new, every time the end of the semester approaches, I can't help but feel extremely overwhelmed. Procrastination is a serious illness that I need to find a cure for.
Visual class is the only thing that keeps me excited and going... we just started and basically finished our window. CAN YOU SAY AMAZING !

Me and Tiffany are making a fierce gift to give the people at the presentation on Friday !!! It's a surprise ! LOL

my thoughts are sooo scattered...

I honestly cannot wait for this.
If you don't watch this show, then you should seriously start, it is sooo addicting.
Everyone is gagging at the new AD which I think is AMAZING... says it's way to provocative for a show aimed at teens, but I think it doesn't matter. The show in my opinion speaks to 16-over teens and they clearly know about sex, and then there's "adult" audience who watches it too.
I seriously cannot wait for this show to come back.

and when the hell is Ugly Betty coming back ?!?!
